NYSCB Training Offer 2018/2019

The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board (NYSCB) provides a range of e-learning and face to face training for partners within North Yorkshire.  The way in which we provide training has now changed and we have developed a new training offer for 2018/2019.

We have introduced a new Online Child Protection Basic Awareness Course for staff in all organisations.  It is important to note that a record of completion will not be recorded and a certificate is not automatically generated. In order to maintain a record of completion, staff can take a screenshot of the quiz results slide. In order to successfully complete the course, staff must achieve a minimum score of 80%.  This package is an interim measure to meet the demand from schools and other agencies while a suitable alternative is identified.

Comprehensive Child Protection Pathways and Safeguarding Children classroom based training is now provided by the Local Authority as a traded service.  Further details are available from http://nyestraining.co.uk/.

We are also providing access to a range of free face to face training courses, including our highly popular ‘Developments in Safeguarding Manager’s Masterclass’ and ‘Managing Allegations Against Staff’.  For details of our range of courses, dates and locations, as well as links to other free safeguarding e-learning courses, please visit our website http://www.safeguardingchildren.co.uk/learning-improvement/training-coursesPlease note that additional courses may be added throughout the year so don’t forget to bookmark this page!
