With such a large and diverse safeguarding agenda, selection of issues for audit at a county level are taken by the LSCB Executive. Most recent audits have been to understand the reasons for the changes of children with Child Protection Plans between 06-08 and the progress of Initial Assessments in Social Care.
We are developing a programme of audit for the revised LSCB Procedures which we will place onto the website once agreed.
The LSCB Policy Officer manages a data base of multi agency safeguarding audits and welcomes information about audits taking place within single agencies which may be of interest to multi agency work. Please contact liz.carr (liz.carr@northyorks.gov.uk) with information.
