Safeguarding - Notice Check and Share - Making the Link

On behalf of Scarborough Borough Council/North Yorkshire County Council/North Yorkshire Police

This local workshop builds on the success of the 'Making the Link' conferences which has raised the profile of Prevent and identifying those who may be vulnerable to extremism. It offers the opportunity for key decision makers within safeguarding to understand and engage with the 'Notice Check & Share' process, highlighting key stages of involvement via case studies, whilst also promoting the integral work of the local Community Safety Hub, which is prevalent throughout this process.

This event is aimed for those who are key in providing safeguarding advice and guidance to their teams and who may also have a Community Safety remit.

Attendees must have completed one of the following e-learning package:

North Yorkshire County Council Learning Zone module; "Understanding the pathways to radicalisation"

And/or the Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent (WRAP 3) (face-to-face session)

The aim is to:

  • Increase confidence within the workforce on the Notice/Check/Share process (Prevent/Channel/Safeguarding)
  • Raise awareness of the 'work driver' matrix process for community intelligence and safeguarding¬†concerns
  • Promote the role and function of the Scarborough Community Impact Team (CIT)
