Working Together Understanding Abuse - Part 1 of 2
Level 2 - One day
This is the first part of a two day training course with Working Together Understanding the Process. Both days must be completed to obtain full Level 2 training so delegates should submit a booking form for each part. The training dates for Part Two can be found in the available courses list.
Target Group
Those who work regularly with children, young people and with adults who are carers and who may be asked to contribute to assessments of children in need.
Aim
To give participants a comprehensive understanding of the nature and impact of child abuse and their responsibilities within the child protection system for ensuring effective multi agency work.
Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Contribute and take whatever actions are needed to safeguard children.
- Recognise and respond to concerns about a child in need.
- Appreciate own role and role of others.
- Communicate and act appropriately within national and local guidance to safeguard children.
- Be familiar with local arrangements and services and sources of advice for supporting families and safeguarding children.
- Have an understanding of the legal and procedural framework.
