Level 2: Working Together to Understand the Child Protection Conference Process (two day)

Level 2 (2 day course)

Aim:  

To give participants a comprehensive understanding of the nature and impact of roles and responsibilities within the child protection system for ensuring effective multi-agency work. The course will look at child protection conferences, preparing child protection plans and the role of core groups to ensure the best outcomes for children at risk of harm. This is a two day course.

Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand your role and contribution to child protection conferences, child protection plans and core groups.
  • Have a clear understanding of the assessment and decision making processes
  • Have a sound understanding of principles and processes for effective collaboration

These courses will be delivered by Independent Reviewing Officers and NYSCB accredited trainers, working together.
