Introduction to Training
This is the second edition of the training brochure produced by the Training Subgroup of the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board. We are committed to providing high quality training across the county within Craven, Harrogate & Rural District, Selby, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale and Hambleton & Richmondshire.
The Training and Development Co-ordinator is Sue Williams who has practiced as a social worker both in the voluntary and statutory sector.
The Core interagency courses are facilitated by the Training and Development Co-ordinator and members of the Locality Forums without whose input there would not be such a comprehensive programme in place. Having Forum members involved also gives a valuable insight into local needs and knowledge. Their support is very much appreciated.
The Training and Development Co-ordinator is currently looking at the training packages which are being produced to support the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board and these will be incorporated into this year's training programme.
The Core Interagency Training is a rolling programme and therefore it will be available every year in every area for new staff in all agencies.
As you can see there is now a comprehensive training programme and we hope this enables you to attend child protection courses to suit your continuing educational and development needs.
