Aim:

To provide knowledge and skills in working with children and families affected by neglect.

Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Recognise and understand neglect and how it can impact on a child’s development
  • Have knowledge of local services for working with children and families affected by neglect
  • Have a greater understanding of how different agencies work together with families affected by neglect, different roles and responsibilities, and the relevance of Child Protection Procedures
