Aim:

To ensure disabled children are safeguarded from harm by raising awareness of their vulnerability to abuse.

Objectives:

  • Understand the reality of the vulnerability of disabled children to abuse
  • Recognise and respond to concerns about disabled children
  • Ensure that the needs of disabled children are addressed within the Child Protection process.
  • Understand legislative changes and how they impact upon services to disabled children
