Aim:
To help participants develop their presentation skills in order to deliver effective multi-agency training. This course includes looking at individual learning styles, managing and supporting the group and other training practicalities, and evaluating the learning experience.
Objectives:
By the end of the training participants should be able to:
- Identify own and others’ preferred styles of learning and understand how different learning styles influence the training process
- Recognise the potential impact of Safeguarding Children training on themselves and participants
- Identify strategies to ensure issues of anti-discriminatory practice are integrated in Safeguarding Children training
- Demonstrate and share skills in relation to presentation and facilitation
Participants will be experienced practitioners who have experience of safeguarding children within their own agencies. They must have their manager’s permission to deliver North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board training if required.
