December’s Developments in Safeguarding Manager’s Masterclasses are now bookable!

The next round of NYSCP Developments in Safeguarding Managers Masterclasses has been confirmed for December 2019.

The masterclasses which are free to attend briefings, aimed at front line managers / safeguarding leads, cover a range of safeguarding topics to provide attendees with the latest information on local safeguarding arrangements, information on emerging and current trends, areas of work that are being developed and resources that can then be shared with wider staffing teams.

The topics for December’s round have been confirmed and as always include a host of guest speakers offering their expertise in the following:
Domestic Abuse Updates, including recent learning from a Domestic Homicide Review 
Multi-Agency Child Exploitation (MACE) and Contextual Safeguarding
Drug & Alcohol trends in North Yorkshire, an overview of the support available for young people, and information on the Drug & Alcohol Public Health Alert Protocol  
NYSCP updates, learning from recent audits, release of new multi-agency procedures, and recent learning from Serious Case Reviews

Sessions are taking place across the county in the following localities:
Tue 3rd December: The Golden Lion Hotel, Northallerton, 10am-1pm
Thu 12th December: The Downe Arms Hotel, Wykeham, Scarborough, 10am-1pm
Mon 16th December: The Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate, 10am-1pm
