Mental health support for children returning to school in North Yorkshire and York

It is common for students to experience emotional wellbeing difficulties when going back to school after a long summer break. In addition, with changing COVID-19 restrictions over the last eighteen months, some children may also have struggled with the shifts in social and academic expectations placed on them. Help is available for both young people and parents and carers, and it is important to seek advice when needed.

In North Yorkshire and York health leaders are helping children and parents access support. Read the full Clinical Commissioning Group media release here.

The local NHS clinical commissioning groups are reminding young people that there are a variety of services available to them across the region to help manage their mental wellbeing.

NYSCP will be supporting these messages over the Autumn term and are asking partners to look out for, promote and re share over your own social networks.
