Find out more about Hidden Harm

Communities in North Yorkshire are being urged to be alert to changes in children and young people which could suggest they are suffering “hidden harm” or abuse.

As more meeting places, clubs and venues open up as further Covid-19 restrictions are eased, the North Yorkshire’s Safeguarding Children Partnership (NYSCP) is asking people to be their eyes and ears in the community and report any concerns they might have for children.

To help people understand what hidden harm is, identify signs which may alert you to a safeguarding concern and know what to do if you spot a concern, the NYSCP has produced a podcast. The podcast is suitable for anyone to listen to, whether you are a member of the public, parent/carer, business owner or someone who works with children and young people. The link to listen to the podcast is available below:

The podcast is available for sharing and download from multiple platforms including Breaker, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Radio Public and Spotify
