Outline
Professionals working with children and young people have a significant power to shape how children and families are viewed through the language that they use in their everyday practice.

Description
This webinar will focus on the language used within the field of Child Exploitation. It will invite professionals to reflect on their use of language both written and verbal and the impact that this can have on children at risk or experiencing exploitation, as well as their families. It will focus on key areas such as the use of victim-blaming language, seeing experiences through a trauma informed lens, the complexity of children who may be both victims and perpetrators of abuse and the complexity of working with children who are subjected to extra-familiar harm.

Outcomes
To provide delegates with updated information and the use of language for sharing within their teams.
