Grant / Funding opportunities that have gone live today for any relevant suicide / mental health organisations

Please see below on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council the following grant / funding opportunities that have gone live today with for any relevant suicide / mental health organisations.

  1. Suicide Prevention: Harrogate and Craven Funding Available

North Yorkshire County Council have been allocated funding to run a place based, grass roots community grants programme for the districts of Craven and Harrogate.

We are looking to fund projects that make a positive contribution to one, or more, of the following:

  • Reducing stigma and discrimination
  • Developing mentally healthy communities and workplaces
  • Reducing loneliness and social and emotional isolation
  • Providing communities with the knowledge and confidence to seek help or help others to prevent self-harm or suicide
  • Recognise and reduce common contributory factors and life stressors
  • Reducing rates of self-harm (key indicator of suicide risk)
  • Reduce the frequency and numbers of suicides in Harrogate & Craven.

Organisations will be able to bid for grants of between £500 and £5,000.

Closing date for all applications is midnight 29th October 2021.

  1. Suicide Prevention: Humber, Coast and Vale Funding Available (Hull, East Riding, York, North Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire)

Recently, NYCC were successful in securing the Suicide Prevention (including Postvention) portfolio from the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership. This means we have funding available for the next 12 months across the whole footprint which has been expanded to include the whole of North Yorkshire.

We are looking to support and fund Projects that make a positive contribution to one, or more, of the following outcomes:

  • Reduces loneliness and social and emotional isolation
  • Reduces suicides
  • Reduces stigma and discrimination and raises awareness
  • Changes culture and builds resilience
  • Effectively supports those affected by suicide (postvention).

Organisations will be able to bid for grants of between £500 and £5,000.

Closing date for all applications is midnight 29th October 2021.
