NYSCP School Child Protection Policy Template

NYSCP School Child Protection Policy Template

The NYSCP School Child Protection Policy Template has been developed to provide a basic framework for schools to adapt to create their own School Child Protection Policy.

The NYSCP School Child Protection Policy Template 2023-2024 has been updated since the 2022-2023 version included in the NYSCP School Child Protection Manual 2021-2022 and is now a stand alone document. This document also includes updates from identified in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023. As this is a new document, tracked changes are not included in this document. Areas which require specific school information are highlighted in green; however, schools are reminded that they must consider the whole document and make any relevant amendments relevant to their school prior to adoption.

Practice guidance and additional policies for adoption by schools are still available from the NYSCP School Child Protection Manual 2023-2024. This also includes updates updates included in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022.
